About me:

On this page you will find info about my personal life as well as details
about my work. Why did I put these two things together?

Well, the answer is simple:
Photography is not only my work or profession;
it is part of my everyday life.


A part of me.


And as I am not able to separate the two in my 'real' life, then why
should I do so in my virtual one? :)

I hope you enjoy what you see here and I apologize for my site
still being under construction.
It will soon be finished.

I was born in 1980 in Berlin (as the question of where I was born
always pops up at this point, east or west, the good part or the bad
part: it was the south of the city) My family started to move around
in the ´90s and we ended up in the south of Spain, where I stayed until
I turned 18. I have always been very fascinated by anything visual, before
I could write I started to draw and from the moment I figured out how
to work lighters and matches my parents did not really have a relaxed
moment anymore. It did get me into a lot of trouble but eventually I
figured out that doing this in front of a camera was a good excuse
and did not cause any trouble. So in 1998 I moved to LA to study
Visual Effects. Film was an amazing medium but then I got my
hands on an old ´70 RICOH SLR camera and that is how I
discovered to world of still-images. Since 2002 I am
working as a freelance photographer and
it was the best decision I ever made.
I feel very fortunate to be able to live
out what fascinates me the most,
looking at the world
from my perspective.

In 2005, I got into a bad car accident, that made me loose control of my legs. My camera was there with me as well, and survived. I was in coma for
about 3 months and spend about a year and a half in different hospitals.
By the end of 2006 I started to pull my life together, I picked up the
camera again, started to travel and to look for a new direction in life.
All photos you will find on this site are from 2006 until now. It was
an interesting experience to discover that my way of taking photos
had changed and I was looking for new perspectives.

In 2008 I decided that Berlin would be my basecamp and in
November I opened a studio there, but really did not start to
work here until January 2009 The focus on my work here lies on
product, fashion and artistic photography with some escapes
into documentary and experimental works. I still travel a
lot so I rent out the studio to other photographers and
videographers when I am not there.

Travel always has been and still is very important to me, meeting new people
and being able to discover what lays behind the next ridge. Breathing the
same air for too long really is difficult, so I have to move around, but
I try not to overlook the small things that lie right next to me.



I hope the hunger and curiosity for life is reflected in my work and that by looking at it you will experience the pleasure that I feel when producing it.

Light & Darkness, the eternal opponents, are what fascinates me.
Perspective, textures & colors, no picture could ever exist without them.
Throuh the lens you will find ways to look at things in a different manner
then just with the eye. hangin the viewers pesseption, question his
perspective. The focus of my work is to bring this forward.

My approach to the work:
I am an independent Photographer and just do
project-work, no long-time employments as I always
have moved around and am not the person to stand still.
Neither in my work nor in my life.

I dedicate myself completely to the project I work on.
Perfection is very important to me.

From the people I work with I do expect a professional attitude.
